Once fitted, to use this kit you simply press the PTT button and talk, the microphone will stay open until you push the PTT button again or 1,2 or 3 minutes has elapsed depending on what duration you have set. This stops the mic being left open for long periods if you forget to press the PTT button after you have finished talking.

The system comprises a discreet control box with a simple Push switch which “latches on” to transmit and “Latches off” to receive. There is also a Time Out Timer which allows you to set for 1 / 2 / 3 minutes so that the unit is not left permanently on transmit.

The microphone is an electret microphone supplied on a 3.5m lead so tha tit can me easily mounted anywhere near to the user.

Please note the THF-100 is suitable for use with TTI CB radios only, and the THF-100P version is suitable for most CB radios that are 6pin President type wiring.
