Once fitted, to use this kit you simply press the PTT button and talk, the microphone will stay open until you push the PTT button again or 1,2 or 3 minutes has elapsed depending on what duration you have set. This stops the mic being left open for long periods if you forget to press the PTT button after you have finished talking.
